Whether it’s a festival in a paddock or gig at a pub, sometimes the Internet just isn’t there. Eventfinder Pro now lets you scan tickets without an Internet connection.
When you log into Eventfinder Pro, any upcoming events for which online tickets are no longer available are displayed on the dashboard as ready to scan.

Eventfinder Pro Dashboard showing Offline Mode indicator for ticket validation
In the background, Eventfinder Pro tells your browser to download and store all the information needed for scanning tickets without an Internet connection. You’ll notice the status indicator on the dashboard will turn green and say “Offline Mode Ready” when the information is safely stored – it only takes a few seconds. Once the indicator is green you can safely turn your computer off, the information will still be there when you restart it later without an Internet connection. When you’re ready to start scanning, just turn your computer back on and open Eventfinder Pro in your web browser by typing its address (or using a bookmark). The dashboard will display in Offline mode ready for you to start scanning tickets.
Offline mode only allows access to the dashboard and ticket validation pages of your events for which online tickets are no longer available. Other pages, such as sales information, will simply display a message letting you know you’re in Offline mode and links to your events that are ready for scanning.
It couldn’t be any simpler.
- Log into Eventfinder Pro
- Wait for the Offline Mode indicator to turn green
- Take computer to event entrance
- Turn computer on and open Eventfinder Pro
- Plug in the USB barcode scanner
- Start scanning
The next time you are connected to the Internet and logged into Eventfinder Pro the scanned ticket data will be uploaded for safe-keeping and reporting.
Offline mode is currently only available in modern browsers such as Apple’s Safari or Google’s Chrome — both are free to download if you’re not already using them. We recommend Apple’s Safari browser for ticket scanning as it’s currently the fastest for that task. Unfortunately, Firefox and Internet Explorer do not currently support the standards required for Offline ticket scanning. Essentially — if the dashboard indicator is green then your browser is suitable.
Scanning tickets in Eventfinder Pro is best performed using a USB barcode scanner, which you simply plug into your computer’s USB port. We can loan you a scanner if required or you can purchase your own.
To delete the information downloaded for Offline ticket scanning you only need to log out of Eventfinder Pro. To restore the information simply log back in.
